About the Role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity for a Personal Care Worker to join our team at Calvary Tanilba Shores Retirement Community.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting residents to live their lives with independence and choice.
  • They will contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs of residents through assessment and observation.
  • The role involves implementing clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident's plan of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents to exercise their rights and choices, while maintaining their dignity and self-esteem.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of residents by addressing their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
  • Implement care interventions in accordance with the resident's plan of care and guidelines from the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist residents with personal care and hygiene needs while promoting their independence.

About You

  • You hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
  • You have experience working with dementia support and can engage effectively with residents.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You are able to prioritize workloads efficiently and demonstrate flexibility, empathy, and patience when interacting with residents.

Estimated Salary: AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
