Launch Your Livestock Career

This program is designed for those who want to make a difference in the livestock industry by developing their skills and expertise. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to work in various aspects of the livestock activity and gain valuable experience.

  • You will be involved in four leadership and skill-building workshops that will help you develop your leadership potential and technical skills.
  • Throughout the 24-month program, you will receive on-the-ground training and mentorship from experienced livestock employees and leaders.
  • As part of this program, you will also have the opportunity to work in both saleyard and branch environments, where you will learn effective selling and relationship-building techniques.

The program includes accelerated learning opportunities, professional networking opportunities, placement mobility, and business skills development. You will also have access to ongoing training and development to pursue your individual ambitions.

What Skills Are Required?

To be considered for this program, you must have a strong desire to learn and succeed in the livestock industry. You should possess excellent customer service skills, strong negotiation abilities, and be willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program.

Additionally, you must demonstrate successful completion of Year 12, have worked successfully for a minimum of 24 months within the agricultural industry, preferably in livestock, and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident.
