Job Summary

Gympie Regional Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water and Sewerage Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Water and Sewerage team, you will play a pivotal role in the maintenance of our water supply and sewerage network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a broad range of tasks including operation of medium complexity plant, vehicles, equipment and tools in a competent, proficient and safe manner.
  • Undertake water meter maintenance and replacement, as well as sewer jetter CCTV experience.
  • Maintain harmony within a team and foster good working relationships with all council employees and members of the public.
  • Work under limited supervision to assist in the maintenance of the water supply network with a focus on water quality, hygiene, regulatory compliance and public health.
  • Collect data and information, e.g. related to flow rates and pressure levels in water mains.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience of greater than 3 years in a similar role within a water industry environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Basic level of digital technology experience (smart phones, tablets etc) for the purposes of workflow management and reporting.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skill.
  • Queensland 'C' Class driver's licence that is current and maintained.
  • General construction induction (white/blue card).
