Source Legal is a dynamic, rapidly expanding corporate business that provides comprehensive legal services to its clients across New Zealand.
We operate as a unique model, allowing our legal professionals to work across various sectors and clients in an in-house capacity, providing a diverse and exciting working environment.
As a professional services firm, we offer in-house style legal services to businesses, essentially acting as an outsourced legal department for our clients.
We have a team of over 50 lawyers across Australia and New Zealand, and are part of the HPX Group, which also includes the law firm Hamilton Locke.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer who is commercially savvy, highly responsive, and comfortable providing clear and decisive legal advice.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a diverse in-house style role, across various sectors and clients of different sizes, with no billable hour or timesheet requirements.
This role can be performed remotely, from our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Auckland, or a combination of both.
Key Responsibilities- Providing solid New Zealand employment law experience advising private sector and government clients.
- Advising on employment law matters, including employment contracts, terminations, and disputes.
- Developing and implementing employment law strategies to meet the needs of our clients.
- Working closely with our clients to understand their business needs and providing tailored legal advice.
- Collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality legal services to our clients.
- 5+ years' post-admission experience gained in private practice, government, and/or in-house roles.
- Strong entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, with outstanding client management skills.
- Commercially-minded and comfortable giving pragmatic, in-house style advice and making decisions.
- Self-starter, able to work quickly, be adaptable, communicate clearly, and passionate about client experience.
