About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at Farm Credit Services. As a key member of our Applied Analytics team, you will be responsible for leveraging data to drive meaningful and challenging projects that improve the customer experience and deliver lending decision models and strategies for the Associations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative solutions using data mining and programming techniques to drive business growth and improve risk management.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to data governance and data quality strategies to enhance analytics and model capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business intelligence teams, to ensure pertinent business information is available for analytic use.
  • Provide sound business ownership of selected enterprise risk solutions, including all systems supporting automated credit decisions and risk rating processes.
  • Conduct the analysis and development of credit risk and workflow models for the Associations and third parties, utilizing credit scoring technology, decision trees, and business knowledge to assure safety and soundness of all business unit loan assets.
  • Coordinate model development, review, and improvement activities with the Credit Committee to ensure process meets the Associations' model governance expectations.
  • Responsible for the initial model validation and ongoing performance monitoring of the organization and other Farm Credit System entity models.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Credit and Risk Management teams and other lending process and technology development teams to complete technical implementation of the credit risk and workflow models into new and existing systems.
  • Conduct risk analysis on the Associations' portfolio and subsets, including efficient extraction, manipulation, and analysis of complex datasets for standard reports and ad-hoc projects that impact the credit and lending processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business Administration, or Statistics.
  • Solid understanding of credit risk management, data quality, data profiling, data analysis, and the use of credit scoring technology.
  • 2+ years of experience in Credit, Finance, or Risk Management.
