Job Title: Solution Architect, Data Analytics, Federal Government Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at Programmed. As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to meet business needs focused on data and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives.
  • Understand business drivers and business capabilities and determine corresponding enterprise solution designs and change requirements.
  • Analyse the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and propose stage-wise solutions for improvement.
  • Lead evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solution architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies.
  • Implement technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide support to application architects within agile teams to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Designs and directs the governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Data savvy with knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions to meet business needs focused on data and analytics.
  • Proven ability to engage with business and technology stakeholders to develop and document business requirements and design and implement technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of OSI model and the communication protocols that operate at each layer of the stack.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions that meet with ISM requirements and best industry practice.
  • Understanding of encryption, in transit, and at rest and testing for vulnerabilities in a systems design.
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms with knowledge of compute, storage, identity & access management, governance, and networking services.
  • Knowledge of SQL and data vault/data warehouse/data lake solutions.
  • Ability to formulate a high-level solution from a set of business requirements, architectural drivers, and design constraints.
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies, such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping and incremental development.
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL).

  • Ability to communicate with senior-level technical and non-technical executives about pros and cons of alternative solution design proposals.
  • Skilled at providing fit-for-purpose reporting based on organisational requirements.
  • Skilled at negotiating with stakeholders from different IT functions and proposing solution designs that are practical in the short-term with a clear plan to achieve future-state business capabilities.
  • Apt at quickly comprehending the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
