Job Title: IT Solution Architect
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to lead the transformation of complex legacy systems into cloud-compliant architectures. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a Solution Architect role within a Federal Government department and strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-level and detailed design solutions in collaboration with corporate IT and business stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions comply with the Australian Government Architecture framework.
- Lead the transformation of legacy systems into cloud-compliant architectures, including API management, integration frameworks, and authentication/authorisation services.
- Build architectures for high-performance computing, geospatial, and large-scale scientific data processing systems.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a Solution Architect role within a Federal Government department.
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, along with DevOps, CI/CD, and integration solutions.
- Experience with data solutions, API/service-oriented architectures, and designing cloud-compliant enterprise technologies.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices, including compliance with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential 8 controls.
- Experience in high-performance computing, geospatial, or large-scale scientific data processing environments.
About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to work within a Federal Government department, collaborating with an established and highly skilled team. The successful IT Solution Architect will be offered a 12 month contract with extension options.
