Job Description

The Long Life/Fresh Food Manager plays a vital role in the store's operations, reporting directly to the Store Manager. This position is classified at Level 6 within the Grocery Retail Association (GRA).

In the absence of the Store Manager, the Long Life and/or Fresh Food Manager assumes responsibility as Stand-In and takes direction from the Operations Manager.

This key team member oversees the entire store team in the Store Manager's absence. In cases where the Long Life/Fresh Food Manager and the Store Manager are unable to agree on a problem or disciplinary procedure, the Operations Manager will make the final decision.

Key Objectives:

  1. To manage and maintain high standards across all store areas, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient store operations.
  2. To take charge of staff management, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless teamwork and communication.
  3. To work closely with other departments to drive sales growth and implement effective inventory control measures.
  4. To identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall store performance.
