Senior Civil Engineer Job Overview

Stantec seeks a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to lead water infrastructure projects in Wollongong, working closely with a diverse team of professionals in the Water Division.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating project activities with the Project Manager to deliver results on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Leading and assisting in civil engineering, design management, and project management from planning to construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Performing various water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks, including engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and applications to regulatory agencies.
  • Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs through sketches, electronic models, and documentation.
  • Preparing project proposals, change orders, and client communications.
  • Collaborating with personnel in other disciplines and departments to ensure technical outputs conform to project scope, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartership/RPEQ or working towards is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plants and strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity, and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.
