We are seeking a skilled Senior Restructuring Expert to join our dynamic team at Shift. As a key player in our lending strategy, you will play a pivotal role in assessing distressed loans and crafting tailored solutions to restructure them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IDentifying Restructuring Opportunities: Utilize pre-agreed criteria to identify potential candidates for loan restructuring.
  • Analysing Borrower Outcomes: Analyse flagged opportunities with borrowers to assess their outlook and potential for improving Probability of Default (PD) and Loss Given Default (LGD).
  • Credit Approval Strategies: Recommend effective strategies for credit approval based on thorough analysis.
  • Negotiating Exposure Restructuring: Negotiate favourable commercial terms and restructuring agreements with borrowers.
  • Documenting Revised Agreements: Document revised commercial agreements and monitor portfolio segments.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reporting on portfolio performance.
Requirements:
  • Strong Accounting Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Creditor Analysis Expertise: Have expertise in assessing financial performance and borrower risk.
  • Borrower Interaction Skills: Be proficient in gathering information through direct borrower interaction.
  • Negotiation and Commercial Terms: Skilled in negotiating favourable commercial terms and restructuring agreements.
  • Documentation Experience: Experienced in documenting facility restructures.
  • Excellent Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly.
  • Credit/Lending Experience: 5-10 years of experience in credit/lending/workout/insolvency, including credit analysis, customer engagement, and documentation.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Creative in developing solutions that minimize losses for the company and support borrowers.
