About the Role

We seek a dedicated Placement Coordinator to join our team.

This pivotal role manages and coordinates work placements for students in vocational and higher education courses, primarily in early childhood education.

The Placement Coordinator facilitates the placement process, ensuring students gain valuable real-world experience while nurturing positive relationships with host organisations.

This position will be based at one of our campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Placement Management: 
     • Ensure timely placement of students with appropriate hosts.
     • Build and maintain strong working relationships with host organisations for future opportunities.
     • Serve as the main point of contact for students and host organisations, providing ongoing support and conducting regular check-ins during placements.
     • Collect all work placement documentation on time and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Student Support and Orientation: 
     • Provide students with relevant information about their work placements, ensuring they are well-prepared.
     • Deliver placement orientation workshops to students, ensuring they understand expectations and requirements.
  • Documentation and Compliance: 
     • Return and ensure compliant placement documentation.
     • Provide data and feedback reports from host organisations to support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Skills:

- Certificate IV or higher qualification (preferred).
- Experience in Early Childhood Education will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience placing students within the VET and Higher Education sectors is highly regarded.
- A strong understanding of educational processes within the vocational and higher education sectors.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and maintain effective networks.
- Strong administrative skills, with experience maintaining documents and records.
