Physiotherapist - Indigenous Community Graduate

About the Role:

West Moreton Health is committed to fostering a culturally inclusive environment that celebrates the achievements of Indigenous peoples in healthcare. This role offers a supportive and safe space for a Physiotherapist to work closely with experienced colleagues in a rural setting.

The identified temporary full-time position is based primarily at Laidley Hospital, with rotation to Gatton Hospital. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through enhanced training, cultural mentoring, and collaboration with experienced physiotherapists.

  • Work in a dynamic Physiotherapy department

  • Contribute to a culturally inclusive environment

Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

  1. Knowledge and expertise in Physiotherapy services using evidence-based practice
  2. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  3. Ability to work effectively in teams and positively influence culture
  4. Participation in quality or service improvement activities within the work unit
  5. Ability to manage own caseload with supervision appropriate for experience

Mandatory Requirements:

The incumbent must be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community. Vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases is also required.
