F&B Training Manager

As a key member of our Food and Beverage Department, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Food and Beverage training pathway. This role is critical in ensuring a career pipeline within F&B for our Team Members and Leaders.

The primary goal of this position is to effectively communicate the learning strategy for F&B, while developing a program to strengthen outcomes across guest experience delivery and team engagement. Ensuring alignment with Diversity & Inclusion objectives is also essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the planning, implementation, and execution of all F&B training requirements
  • Leading the development of professional hospitality teams in a 5-star environment
  • Determining and providing strategic direction to the department, ensuring performance and organisational objectives are delivered
  • Ensuring team members are trained to a high level of competency with a focus on guest service, experience, and all relevant policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accountability of the internal F&B accreditation process to enable the career development of F&B team members to be competency-based
  • Partnering regularly with People & Performance and F&B Leadership teams to identify career pathways, strengthen retention of talent, and embed leadership capabilities
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance obligations across the F&B team are clearly articulated and plans are developed to meet these

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Food and Beverage industry experience in a previous senior leadership role that includes people management
  • Exposure to both business and operational systems
  • High attention to detail and ability to solve problems
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage various stakeholders to support initiatives
  • Understanding of relevant rules and regulations around RSA and WH&S and its reporting requirements
  • Capability to facilitate change and build trust with a large team focused on guest service culture
