About the Role:We are seeking a Biosecurity Officer to join our team. This is a key position that plays a vital role in securing Queensland's agricultural prosperity and preserving the health of our environment and economy.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with a team to prevent the introduction, keeping, and movement of invasive species.
- Regulate the Biosecurity Act 2014 to protect against high-risk invasive species.
This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Achieve:- Mitigate the impacts of invasive species on Queensland's economy and environment.
- Prevent the establishment of invasive species and support stakeholders in managing them.
- Contribute as a senior member of a high-performing team.
This is a critical role in helping the government prevent, respond to, and recover from invasive species that threaten human health, social amenity, our economy, and environment.
