Building Inspector Role

As a skilled building inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled inspections to identify defects, safety hazards and compliance issues in homes.

You will provide detailed reports with practical recommendations to ensure the safety and integrity of properties, particularly during real estate transactions, renovations and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough building and pest inspections
  • Identify and document defects, safety hazards and compliance issues
  • Provide detailed reports with practical recommendations
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered/Licensed Builder
  • Must have completed Residential Building Inspections course
  • Completed (or on the way to completing) timber pest units
  • Proven experience as a Building & Pest Inspector, Registered/Licensed Builder or Licensed Pest Technician
  • Physically capable of inspecting sub-floors, roof spaces and external roofs
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, organised and results-driven
  • Clear and professional communication skills
