At Novotel, we're committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our rooms, public areas, and heart of the house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Housekeeping Attendants to achieve exceptional results
  • Conduct daily room inspections to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
  • Manage the allocation of rooms and tasks to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance
  • Coordinate the safe storage, issue, and use of cleaning materials and equipment
  • Oversee the laundry operation, ensuring cost-effective use of linen and efficient handling of guest laundry
  • Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure guest requirements are met
  • Respond to special requests with a sense of urgency and ensure VIP rooms have correct amenities
  • Assist with roster preparation, ensuring suitable and cost-effective employee levels are maintained
  • Ensure turnover of rooms is quick, efficient, and meets Novotel standards
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of guest supplies and consumables within budgeted amounts
  • Prepare deep cleaning schedules and ensure implementation by Housekeeping Attendants
  • Block rooms for advanced maintenance and cleaning programs
  • Report defective machinery to Maintenance and handle cleaning priorities
  • Communicate with guests about any delays in service delivery and ensure Room Attendants are well-groomed
  • Regularly meet with Room Attendants to discuss progress, training plans, and take disciplinary action when necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience in hotel housekeeping, with leadership experience and ability to lead by example
  • Excellent communication skills, punctuality, organization, and trustworthiness
  • Basic computer literacy and flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
