- **Role**:_
- **Coordinator /Team Leader**_
- Taking calls from internal and external guests
- Issue keys, keeping accurate and appropriate records of key movement on a daily basis, ensuring all keys are accounted for at close of day
- Coordinate all Housekeeping related duties from guests, front office, engineering, food and beverage and any other enquires related to housekeeping
- Update room status record in the hotel’s Property Management System throughout the day to ensure up-to-the-minute and accurate room status at all times
- Monitors all room movements including priority, groups, VIPs, high paying guests and other rooms are returned by the contractual agreed time (unless guest have a late check-out time)
- Ensure short and long-term jobs through engineering/handymen are followed up accordingly
- Complete room allocations in a timely fashion
- Update hotel room status in the PMS promptly to ensure reception have an up to minute view of the hotels cleanliness status
- Follow the hotel's lost property procedure when finding items in a checked-out room. Notify your supervisor immediately if item is of value, i.e.: wallet, mobile phone, jewellery etc.
- Coordinates guest laundry calls and the sending out of the laundry. Ensures the laundry is returned back to the correct rooms in the afternoon
- Prepare nightly turndown report and assign rooms for Turn Down Attendant
- Maintains a friendly and professional relationship with co-workers
- Attend any training sessions or meetings required for the position
- Maintain the functions of Housekeeping Supervisor when required
- Performs any other shifts / duties that are required by direct reports or hotel management
- Reports any breach of security directly to your supervisor. i.e.: missing master key, suspicious persons, unauthorised entry. Is aware of opening of guest room policy
- Perform any reasonable related task as requested by management of hotel and GHS direct reports
