Job Title: Senior Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our team in the field of molecular genetics.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing genetic research in weeds and plants, applying molecular techniques and statistical analysis to understanding the evolution of weed populations under farming systems including herbicide resistance and changes in emergence patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct molecular genetics research in weeds and plants
  • Apply statistical analysis to understand the evolution of weed populations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to advance research projects

Requirements:

  • PhD in Weed Science, Plant Genetics or related discipline
  • Knowledge and experience in molecular genetics techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to publish research in peer-reviewed journals
  • Ability to use statistical methods to analyse genetic data
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
