Cardiologist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiologist to join our expanding Cardiology Department at Launceston General Hospital.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience in complex coronary and/or structural interventions, with a strong interest in contributing to the growth and innovation of the department. They will be working within a collaborative team of 7 cardiologists and 3 advanced trainees, with access to cutting-edge facilities and a high-volume cardiac catheterisation lab.

Key Details
  • Permanent position, up to 76 hours per fortnight (flexible FTE options available)
  • Public hospital base salary:
    • Specialist Medical Practitioner: $216,300 – $296,640
    • Senior Specialist: $300,389 – $310,389
  • 12% superannuation
  • Additional benefits may include:
    • Fully maintained private vehicle or $28,786 vehicle allowance
    • CPD Allowance: $16,974 p.a.
    • Relocation assistance
    • On-call allowance (% of base salary)
    • Generous salary packaging options

Requirements
  • Specialist Interventional Cardiologist eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Experience in complex coronary and/or structural interventions
