About the Role

The Payroll Officer will play a critical role in supporting the business through the management and maintenance of the Payroll and HRIS systems. This includes data management, data cleaning, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated working experience in a similar role with exposure to payroll data and processes, leave management advice and compliance, payroll input and record management, as well as working in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate employee and company data in our HRIS, including weekly audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Update employees' leave approvers in ADP as required.
  • Manage the Payroll inbox, responding to employee queries in a timely manner.
  • Work in partnership with the HR team on payroll matters.
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining payroll processes and procedures.
  • Reconcile payroll superannuation payments and authorized payroll.
Payroll Processing
  • Liaise with ADP to set up new employees and communicate relevant information to other business service areas, such as HR.
  • Provide data to ADP within SLAs.
  • Notify ADP of changes in employee pay details and manage the process with ADP to review and finalize redundancy and termination.
  • Manage the checking of the payroll variance report with the assistance of HR.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with reviewing the monthly/off-cycle payroll as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • 2-3 years' experience in HR/Payroll data management.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining data HRIS systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive and collaborative work style.
  • Experience in SAP will be highly regarded.
  • Previous media/advertising industry experience is an advantage.
