Domestic Support Assistant Job Description

The role of a Domestic Support Assistant involves providing support to clients with domestic tasks in their own homes. This may include making beds, ironing, laundry, dusting, vacuuming and mopping the floor, as well as offering social support in the community.

In this position, you will be responsible for following a predetermined schedule, traveling from home to home. Therefore, having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously via a mobile app is essential.

This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in the community. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Making beds, ironing, laundry, dusting, vacuuming and mopping the floor.
  • Providing social support in the community.
  • Following a digital schedule and care plan autonomously via a mobile app.
