About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Forwarding Agent to join our team at C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc.

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle for assigned accounts. This includes ensuring customer requirements are met accurately and timely, executing tasks, daily communication, reporting, and email management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage operational excellence by understanding international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology.
  2. Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes/create solutions in response to challenges.
  3. Coordinate tasks on shipments to meet customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, pre-alerts, governmental filings, delivery execution, invoicing, and data integrity.
  4. Provide track and trace service to customers and generate shipment documents.
  5. Maintain high-level data integrity within shipments, acknowledging shipment details, INCO terms, routing, dates, and documents.
Requirements
  • A minimum 1-3 years of Global Forwarding experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business.
    • Knowledge and experience with customs procedures and formalities (customs clearance, bonded transports).
    • Excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
    • Proven track record of dealing with customers and being client-focused.
    • Critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
