A leading organization is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) Houses. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently.

About the Role
  • Provide daily support and assistance to residents in their day-to-day activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes independence and social interaction.
  • Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
  • Assist residents in accessing community resources and participating in social and recreational activities.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including allied health professionals, to ensure the holistic well-being of residents.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • A current Driver's license and car registration and insurance
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • An NDIS Orientation Module and NDIS Infection Control Module
  • A Cert 4 in disability or cert 4 in individual support (desirable)
  • Commitment to providing exceptional support and great communication skills
  • A medication administrative certificate and manual handling skills
