Job Title: Small Engine Technician

 

Job Description:

As a skilled and highly motivated technician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and upkeep of all motorized small equipment, combustion engines, and mowers. This role plays a vital part in maintaining our business's professionalism and service output.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and servicing of various types of equipment
  • Complete mechanical and electrical diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs in a workshop or field setting
  • Assist in ordering parts and managing inventory
  • Record keeping and reporting
  • Management of workload and prioritization
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Continuous improvement of work processes and efficiency

 

Requirements:

  • Certification III in Automotive Mechanical or equivalent (10+ years experience)
  • Experience with agricultural equipment, tractors, and light vehicles is advantageous
  • Knowledge of basic electrical components and fuel systems
  • Valid driver's license (HR license an advantage)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills
  • Forklift ticket beneficial
  • Strong problem diagnostic skills
  • Methodical thinking and analytical approach to issues
  • Ability to plan, conduct, and review maintenance activities
  • Decision-making ability, dexterity, and physical stamina
  • Solid knowledge of machinery requirements within our fleet
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Positive National Police Security Check Report
