The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and defence, boasting a strong understanding of configuration management principles across the system lifecycle.
This critical position requires a deep knowledge of technical regulations, engineering frameworks, and asset management systems such as MIL-STD and ASDEFCON. The successful applicant will have proven leadership skills in cross-functional technical teams and exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- Apply advanced engineering techniques to solve complex configuration and data management challenges.
- Lead and influence configuration control activities in support of Defence capability assurance and sustainment.
- Represent the company at key technical forums and defence working groups.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of configuration management strategies, frameworks, and policy compliance.
- Act as a technical ambassador, fostering collaboration between teams and driving continuous improvement in engineering processes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years' relevant engineering experience, preferably within Defence or complex systems environments.
- Strong understanding of configuration and data management principles across the system lifecycle.
- Experience with Defence technical regulations, engineering frameworks, and asset management systems (e.g. MIL-STD, ASDEFCON).
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Membership (or eligibility) with a recognised engineering professional body.
- NV1 Security Clearance is essential.
