Bovine IVF Laboratory Technician

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled laboratory technician to play a crucial role in the production of elite progeny through specialized systems.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Completing a comprehensive training program to prepare for work in the IVF laboratory
  • Working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to adhere to all laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintaining flexibility for working hours as IVF processes are time-dependent

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and Execution
  • Preparing fertilization plates; washing, collecting and grading oocytes and maturation; semen processing; embryo culture processes including differentiating embryonic age, quality and other factors, observing cleavage after fertilization and moving viable embryos to new culture plates
  • Conducting oocyte quality assessment at collection; identifying and reporting any anomalies detected during collections
  • Assisting with maintaining integrity of media; collecting semen samples and analyzing and evaluating semen processing data; maintaining accurate labeling and traceability of media and embryo production
  • Traveling as required

  • Risk tolerance and ability to deal with ambiguity

Requirements:

Qualification and Experience
  • Diploma level qualification or higher
  • Experience in a related field
