Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Auditor to join our team at RACQ. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting technology audits and providing assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls.

About the Role
  • Assist in all stages of audits (from planning to reporting)
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of technology and business controls
  • Identify and document potential risks and areas for improvement
  • Lead follow-up and verification activities related to open audit action plans and the closure of audit findings
Requirements
  • Good understanding of internal audit principles and/or experience in risk-based assurance, with experience in internal or external audit
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and good time management is essential in this role
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT auditing, risk assessment, or information security review
  • Proven ability to conduct audits across infrastructure, applications, databases, and cloud environments
  • Experience evaluating internal controls, identifying gaps, and providing remediation strategies (including IT General Control testing)
  • Good stakeholder engagement across various levels of the organisation
  • Working knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance Frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, SOX
  • Currently studying towards relevant certifications including CISA, CIA, CPA, CRISC and CISM (highly desirable)
