As a Senior Manager in Security & Privacy, you will be responsible for extensive client interactions, staff training, and management, as well as collaborating with external partners. Your expertise will encompass managing the entire project lifecycle for IT general controls audits, cybersecurity, and information security services. In this managerial role, you will also focus on enhancing your strategic, business development, and leadership capabilities.
The RSM Security & Privacy Services team offers specialized skills in IT governance, risk consulting, cybersecurity, information security, IT auditing, and general control assurance audits. We serve clients across both government and private sectors, operating across diverse technology platforms and software environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct IT, cybersecurity, and technology risk assessments, and evaluate the effectiveness of processes and controls related to third-party organizations.
- Execute and finalize individual IT and cybersecurity audits and special project reviews across various applications and IT infrastructure.
- Perform independent, risk-based IT and cybersecurity audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring the reliability and integrity of the client's business and IT systems.
- Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously, coordinating with various team members for planning, execution, and scheduling.
- Facilitate or arrange special consulting or review engagements as necessary, including system software evaluations, new system development assessments, and contingency planning reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of client deliverables, such as strategic internal audit plans and scope documents.
- Oversee the execution of fieldwork and documentation of findings, ensuring maintenance of the audit file.
- Provide support for IT general controls and application controls audits to external auditors.
- Define the objectives, scope, and extent of each audit, ensuring professional and efficient completion within established deadlines.
Education and Other Requirements:
Essential:
- Successful completion of Criminal Record Screening Clearance.
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or qualification is mandatory.
- Professional certification is required, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC).
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Professional Services related to cybersecurity, IT audit, internal controls, or risk management.
- Experience in conducting security risk assessments and auditing cybersecurity or information security standards and governance frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead teams in various technical testing assessments and effectively communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in IT general controls and applications.
- In-depth understanding of IT processes, project management, applications, databases, operating systems, and network infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement.
