Shipbuilding Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Shipbuilding Fabrication Specialist to join our team in Osborne, SA. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision and or Trades Trainer within bounds of current competence.

  • Undertake tasks and duties as directed by Production Supervision and or Trades Trainer within bounds of current competence.
  • Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training as required.
  • Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
  • Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area.
  • Adhere to the policies and management practices.

For this role, we require:

  • Trade Qualifications
  • Experience in Fabrication with MIG or Flux Core Welding
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Strong safety focus and enhancing the site safety environment
  • Strong time keeping abilities
  • Excellent communication

This is a permanent opportunity with rates from $44.81 per hour. The role offers a 9-day fortnight and afternoon and night shift availability. You will be working in the most advanced shipyard in the world building the most complex Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigate.

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
