As a Palliative Care Specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing specialist care to patients, their families, carers, and visitors.

You will work with industry professionals who share your commitment to delivering patient-centred care.

Salary: $44.72 - $59.25 per hour

This is an hourly rate plus 11.5% superannuation.

The salary range may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

A key aspect of this role is managing all aspects of palliative care from symptom and pain management, to end of life care.

You will utilise a structured approach to carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients.

  • Completing PCOC assessments
  • Implementing planned evidence-based nursing interventions
  • Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
  • Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision

Maintaining and adhering to Infection Control policies and practices is also crucial.

You will comply with organisational policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines.

About You

To succeed in this role, you must have current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).

Recent nursing experience, particularly within a medical ward setting, is essential.

Your excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills will enable you to thrive in this environment.

You will demonstrate your ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Experience with using CADD pumps & Syringe Drivers is desirable.
