We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our seafood processing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent fish handling skills, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. In addition to these essential skills, we are looking for individuals who can provide exceptional customer service, work collaboratively as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities with ease.

Job Overview:

As a Seafood Process Worker, your primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Scaling, filleting, and cutting of fish
  • Cleaning and cooking of crustaceans
  • Fish cleaning and gaffing, removal of fins and head, gutting, spike killing, washing
  • Inspecting and grading fish and shellfish for size and quality
  • Packing fish and counting packs before freezing, and packing frozen fish blocks into cartons
  • Operating machines which can slice fish
  • Loading fish products into trucks/sales area
  • Ensuring correct and safe knife handling practices
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
  • Holding a basic understanding of Seafood Hazard Analysis Critical ControlPoints (Seafood HACCP)
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and requirements
  • Assisting with other duties as may be requested by management relevant to the position to achieve efficient, effective, and successful operations

Qualifications/Experience:

- A minimum of 12 months experience or relevant qualifications
- Hold a current and valid first aid certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months of arrival and commencement of employment
