Key Responsibilities

Act as the HVAC systems expert for internal teams, particularly in Facilities Management and Construction. Address RFIs, issue engineering advisory bulletins, and facilitate ongoing education through masterclasses and collaboration with installation teams. Build and maintain relationships with Construction Field Engineers and Project Managers to support the interpretation of HVAC design intent and resolve on-site challenges. Gather field feedback to enhance product quality and system design. Collaborate with the Standards Team to ensure the Woolworths HVAC Specification aligns with business needs, adheres to best manufacturing practices, and serves as a prescriptive guideline for procurement, quality assurance, safety, and compliance. Assist Property in formulating and implementing strategies for HVAC assets, focusing on optimized lifecycle outcomes. Establish networks and strategic partnerships with key technology providers, consultants, and educational institutions. Uphold the Woolworths Ways of Working by prioritizing customer satisfaction, fostering continuous improvement, working collaboratively as One Team, encouraging autonomy within a structured framework, and simplifying processes for store teams.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Washington Accord recognized) and eligibility for registration with a relevant professional engineering body. Significant experience in HVAC engineering, preferably in a design capacity, including plant design and installation. Familiarity with the National Construction Code (especially Section J) and applicable Australian and International Design Standards. Strong project management skills, including project evaluation and financial management. Ability to effectively communicate complex issues to senior management and facilitate decision-making processes.
