You will lead multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, mechanical, and hydraulic disciplines to drive design excellence and ensure alignment with technical standards and business priorities.

  • Foster a clear strategic design vision aligned with organisational goals.
  • Lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams fostering growth, accountability, and innovation.
  • Champion Safety in Design integrating environmental sustainability across all engineering outputs.
  • Oversee complex projects ensuring timely quality outcomes.
  • Manage risks support continuous improvement standardise design practices where possible.
  • Ensure designs comply with technical standards regulations and internal governance.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders including asset management planning operations teams.
  • Represent the organisation in engagements with consultants suppliers industry bodies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
  • 8-10 years of experience in high voltage substation design.
  • Proven experience leading design teams delivering complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian design standards (e.g. AS 3600 AS 4100 AS 1170).
  • Excellent leadership communication stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A current C-Class driver's licence and Construction Induction White Card.
  • CPEng accreditation or eligibility to attain it within 12 months is desirable.
