Job Description

The Cloud Infrastructure Architect is responsible for ensuring operational excellence by continuously monitoring, evaluating, and improving IT infrastructure and network performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure systems.
  • Ensure adequate monitoring and performance of IT infrastructure and services, including network, server, and cloud solutions.
  • Plan and deploy upgrades and enhancements to IT infrastructure, including servers, computers, network devices, and phone systems.
  • Serve as an escalation point for IT support teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing resolution, guidance, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Lead IT infrastructure and security projects.
  • Maintain appropriate data backup and emergency recovery procedures.
  • Ensure the organization is adequately secured from cyber threats by assisting with system patching and vulnerability management.
  • Contribute to IT strategy discussions and provide input into digital experience improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with IT infrastructure vendor contract management.
  • Participate in budget discussions and make recommendations to assist the firm with its strategic goals.
  • Provide guidance and share expertise with junior team members, promoting continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology.
  • Recognized industry certifications from vendors such as Microsoft, Vmware, Cisco, CompTIA.
  • Certifications associated with cloud services; Azure preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in network management, routing, security, systems administration, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience managing and deploying common Azure services, designing, implementing, managing Azure cloud networking and security.
  • Experience with endpoint, email, and internet security concepts and tools.
  • Proficiency in automation, scripting, and programming languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Experience across a broad tech stack: M365, VMware, Veeam, Palo Alto, Intune, Defender, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Sentinel, SD-WAN amongst others.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
