We are seeking a highly skilled Building Inspector to join our team. As a Building Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with building legislation, codes, and standards.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for conducting building inspections, providing technical guidance, and issuing inspection notices. You will also assist in assessing various permit applications and participate in after-hours callouts on a rostered basis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct building inspections and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes, and standards.
- Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders and issue inspection notices.
- Assist in assessing permit applications and conduct site visits as required.
- Participate in after-hours callouts on a rostered basis and provide on-site advice to builders and property owners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building legislation, codes, and standards.
- Ability to interpret legislation and apply precedents.
- Building Inspector/Surveyor qualification including Registration as a Building Practitioner is desirable.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks.
