Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Professional to join our team as an Assistant Coordinator.

This part-time position offers a balance of work and personal time, with 34.5 hours per week during school term and 38 hours during vacation care.

In this role, you will assist the Service Coordinator with day-to-day operations and team management, receiving support from a dedicated management team.

Your Workspace

The OSHC center is located on the grounds of Virginia State School, offering Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care between 6:30am and 6pm.

We have access to various areas within the school, including the Library, Hall, and outdoor play spaces, providing a welcoming environment for children to explore their capabilities.

As an Assistant Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing quality programs;
  • Managing day-to-day operations;
  • Supporting staff management;
  • Ensuring compliance with policy;
  • Undertaking administrative requirements;
  • Collaborating with families and the school community.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Completed or near completion of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
  • Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
