Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to advance your career with a dynamic and growing organization. We are seeking a skilled SMP Senior Project Engineer to join our team.

  • Implement, maintain, coordinate, and expedite procurement and construction elements for designated work areas.
  • Identify and resolve technical engineering issues and associated problems throughout the project duration.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
  • Develop, prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor installation requirements for all equipment at each stage of construction.
  • Perform regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor and manage short and long-term construction planning and programming.
  • Present project progress updates to senior management and clients.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and analyze productivity factors against program and budget.
  • Daily interaction with clients to interpret their engineering requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Manage overall quality control of work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role in Mining/Minerals Processing Construction – involving structural steel erection, mechanical, and piping installation.
  • High level of proficiency and expertise utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in modeling and drawing software such as Naviswork Simulate, MS Project, and/or Bluebeam.
  • Basic knowledge on AutoCAD and P6 desirable.
  • Good comprehension on planning, scheduling, construction contract management and administration.
  • Good understanding of construction estimating and cost controlling.
  • Experienced in managing, raising, and responding to RFI's and TQ's.
  • Good understanding of Mining Processing and equipment.
  • Experienced in managing and developing QMP's, ITP's, and FIC's/ITR's.
