Intensive Care Nurse Position

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is a fast-paced environment that requires skilled and dedicated nurses to provide high-quality patient care.

As an ICU nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. You will work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), demonstrated understanding of evidence-informed practice, and critical thinking skills. Experience in intensive care and cardiothoracic intensive care is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient-centered, evidence-informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly

Requirements:

  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-informed practice and critical thinking
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
