Our organization is seeking a Senior Design Lead to join our team in the NSW & ACT region. As a key member of our design leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing PDS Design Managers and their teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing PDS Design Managers and their teams in the NSW & ACT region.
- Technical understanding of project requirements, capabilities and skills required for the portfolio of projects.
- Innovation: Engaging with senior technical practitioners to drive innovative outcomes and out-of-the-box-thinking.
- Schedule: Driving compressed design and delivery schedule durations to meet the overall PDS program schedule requirements.
- Resourcing: Managing portfolio resourcing requirements, including reliable resource forecasting and engagement with Practice Leads.
- Approval of design development artefacts (30% CDR, 90% DDR, IFT and IFC documents).
- Quality: Enforcement of quality and review requirements on all projects, including Aurecon methodology requirements.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant standards, codes and authority requirements, including Defence requirements and Standards.
- Financial Management to deliver design within budget, including design effort to complete, sub-consultant accruals forecasting and travel on allocated projects.
- Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety requirements and reporting.
