Job Title: Advanced Child Protection Specialist
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Child Protection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert case advice and leadership, supporting and developing child protection practitioners in the integration of theory and practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Critical assessment and reflection of complex cases
- Engaging others through effective communication and collaboration
- Demonstrating expertise through successful case management
- Providing guidance and support to teams to achieve best outcomes
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to travel, including in country regions
- Australian citizenship or permanent resident status
Aboriginal Culture and Legislative Requirements:
You will possess an understanding of Aboriginal culture and demonstrate an understanding of the legislative, policy and practice requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families, and communities. This includes the Aboriginal Child Placement Principle and programs that support its implementation in child protection practice.
