Workforce Australia for Individuals is expanding its capabilities and is looking for a qualified Senior Structural Engineer with expertise in Transmission Line Design.
Essential Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), recognized for professional engineering registration with Engineers Australia or an equivalent organization.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in structural design, particularly focusing on lattice structures for transmission lines and substations.
- In-depth understanding of applicable Australian Standards, including AS/NZS, AS, AS, AS, and AS.
- Proficient in utilizing design software tools such as PLS Tower and PLS Pole.
- Ability to develop conductor load calculations for transmission and substation frameworks.
- Experience in determining conductor attachment point loads for transmission and substation structures through Limit State methodologies.
