Procurement Strategist

The role of Procurement Strategist involves overseeing the procurement process to optimize supply chain efficiency and minimize costs. This encompasses identifying and managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and timely delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor market trends, analyze data, and make informed purchasing decisions to mitigate risks and maximize value.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless inventory management, production planning, and logistics execution.
  • Analyze purchasing metrics, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives, ensuring adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum ten years' experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a leadership position is preferred.
  • Superior negotiation, communication, and analytical skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
