The Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team at Grant Thornton Australia is capable, experienced and hands-on, leveraging cross-border transaction knowledge and a holistic approach to due diligence to help clients make informed decisions on pivotal transactions and deals.

Job Role

As a Manager in our TAS team, you will conduct all phases of financial due diligence on M&A transactions and Investigating Accountant engagements on stock exchange listings across various industries.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Lead buy-side and sell-side due diligence on M&A transactions, IPO assignments and other ad hoc advisory projects for corporate and private equity clients
  2. Develop strategies for assignments, considering engagement risk and stakeholder expectations
  3. Analyze and interpret financial statements and data to inform client decisions
  4. Create detailed financial analysis to identify key business drivers and performance indicators
  5. Author comprehensive due diligence reports, including executive summaries

Requirements

  • Proven track record in accounting/auditing, with experience in transaction due diligence and preparation of financial statements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to write and present complex information
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills, with commercial awareness and judgment
  • Organizational and project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Relevant qualifications in Business/Commerce, Accounting or Finance
