About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and commercially astute lawyer to lead legal support on various projects, drive strategic transactions, and collaborate across teams to ensure project success. Your expertise in regulatory matters, dispute resolution, and compliance will be invaluable in navigating complex issues and providing expert guidance.
Responsibilities
* Lead Legal Support: Oversee legal aspects of property development, including acquisition and disposal, financing, leasing, and sales.* Assist with project development and delivery agreements (including D&C contracts, minor works contracts, and supply agreements).* Advise on Joint Ventures: Work with third-party landowners and capital partners.* Drive Strategic Transactions: Advise on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and other key corporate transactions.* Liaise with internal and external advisers concerning taxation, FIRB, insurance, privacy, and other regulatory matters.* Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success across diverse business units.* Navigate Complex Issues: Provide expert legal guidance on regulatory matters, dispute resolution, and compliance issues with a commercial, solutions-focused approach.
Requirements
* 10+ years of experience in property development/corporate real estate (private practice or in-house experience).* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to offer practical, risk-aware legal advice.* A collaborative mindset with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple departments.* Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.* Experience in construction-related disputes and litigation is highly desirable.
