Block Cave Mining Engineer Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the transition of Carrapateena mine to Block Cave mining method.

This involves developing mine plan scenarios for Block Cave production, including macro-block extents, shutoff grade, fines entry, and Height of Draw assessment and sensitivity.

Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is crucial to drive a quality mine plan and ensure it meets the required standards.

About You
  • A strong commitment to developing safety leadership skills is essential in this role.
  • Experience in underground mining technical roles, such as geology or geotechnical, is highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical discipline are also required.
  • Ability to interact successfully with multiple internal stakeholders and work to multiple deadlines is necessary.
