Raytheon Technologies is seeking an experienced Strategic Financial Planning Analyst to join their team in Australia.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a trusted capability partner to the Australian Defence Force, providing technology solutions that protect and secure our sovereign projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business through the coordination, preparation, reporting, and provision of accurate and concise analysis of the company's budgets and forecasts. They will also assist in the development of the company's long-range financial plans and annual operations plans.

The role involves producing monthly management reporting, preparing financial metrics and analysis for management reviews, meeting reporting deadlines, processing enhancements by effectively leveraging core financial systems, and supporting the development of the Long-Range Financial Plan and Annual Operating Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce monthly management reporting for the company, including financial reports, operations review packs, leadership team finance reports, and functional overhead reports.
  • Prepare financial metrics and analysis for management reviews, focusing on forecasting and analyzing full year forecast against budget and prior forecast.
  • Meet reporting deadlines monthly/quarterly/annually according to the financial calendar.
  • Enhance processes by effectively utilizing core financial systems.
  • Support the development of the Long-Range Financial Plan and Annual Operating Plan.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Requires a University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience required.
  • Theoretical to advanced knowledge of Finance or Accounting is necessary.
  • Practical knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to facilitate decision-making.
