Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth fundamental knowledge of a sector or industry, as well as broad base knowledge of financial markets.
  • Identify pricing inefficiencies and collaborate with traders to monetize predictions.
  • Identify new sources of data and transform unstructured data sets into signals.
  • Own the information space you work within by monitoring trends in the marketplace.
  • Employ a holistic approach to predicting distribution of outcomes and making volatility predictions.

About the Role:

Citadel Securities is a leading Options Market Maker. As a fundamental research analyst, you will work closely with the trading team using superior processes, data, and intuition to forecast the first, second, and third moment of a security’s price distribution around thematic and idiosyncratic events.

You will refine forecasts into actionable trade ideas and collaborate with senior team members to challenge the impossible in markets. Your Objectives include developing in-depth fundamental knowledge of a sector or industry, identifying pricing inefficiencies, and employing a holistic approach to predicting distribution of outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background from a top school.
  • A strong interest in financial markets and a desire to learn about the fundamentals that drive them.
  • Ability to think about the world systematically and quantitatively, as well as the ability to deal with uncertainty in a logical and consistent approach.
  • Intermediate experience with programming, especially Python, preferred, but not required.
