Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Equity Analyst to join our Research team at Susquehanna Pacific. As an Equity Analyst, you will partner with our senior analysts and traders to identify investment opportunities in the equity or options market.

Our Research team provides real-time opinions on breaking news and in-depth analysis of future volatility events. You will be responsible for finding opportunities that other market participants may not be capitalizing on, either by discovering new information or considering existing knowledge from a different perspective.

As a member of our team, you will gain practical exposure to the fast-paced proprietary trading environment and learn about options and the decision-making strategies that our traders employ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze upcoming volatility events
  • Provide real-time opinions on breaking news
  • Forecast dividends
  • Evaluate special situations such as mergers and acquisitions and other corporate actions
  • Collaborate with derivative traders on investment ideas
  • Perform stock valuation analysis

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • Strong written, analytical, and financial research skills
  • Demonstrable interest in, and some knowledge of, macroeconomic environment and political events
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with a trading environment and derivative products preferred
  • Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, an effective communicator, and resourceful in solving problems
