Healthcare Leadership Role

The Correctional Centre seeks a dynamic and community-minded healthcare leader to oversee the delivery of patient services. As a key member of the nursing administration team, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing health service plans, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and management to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service delivery
  • Collaborate with clinicians, managers, staff, and other stakeholders to achieve service goals
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health services
  • Interface effectively with other managers and service directors within the network

Requirements:

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Tertiary qualification in health management or working towards or a combination of study and work experience
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise and negotiate with clinicians, managers, staff, and other key stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and manage staff to achieve service goals
  • Understanding of quality improvement activities and clinical redesign projects
  • Proven ability in Windows based programs and/or computer based rostering systems
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the values of the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network
