Therapeutic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Specialist to join our team in Geelong, providing specialist therapeutic and disability support to children in out of home care. This is a permanent part-time role, working 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work from home or our Geelong office.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of CARE and TCI frameworks and be able to apply them in all therapeutic interventions. They will also have expertise in developing Therapeutic Care Plans, Individual Crisis Management Plans, and Positive Behavioural Support Plans.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality therapeutic care to children and young people, consistent with the CARE model.
- Provide guidance and support to front-line staff in relation to clients with complex support needs.
- Participate in CARE and TCI training to ensure these frameworks guide our work with all clients.
- Lead reflective practice processes and encourage innovative multidisciplinary responses to individual client needs.
- Tertiary qualifications in allied health professions such as Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.
- Current registration with the relevant professional body.
- Current VIC driver's license.
- Experience in a therapeutic care setting or working in a clinical environment with children and young people in out of home care.
- Significant experience using evidence-based assessment tools with young people with trauma-informed behavior.
- Working knowledge and implementation of trauma-informed Positive Behaviour Support.
